A man was detained in Fastiv for torturing children: two toddlers faced up to 10 years.
According to ТСН: Law enforcement officers in Fastiv, located in the Kyiv region, detained a man suspected of torturing his partner's children. A two-year-old boy and a three-year-old girl were victims.
According to the Kyiv regional police, the suspect could face up to 10 years in prison.
Torture of Children
A woman, a resident of Fastiv, reported to law enforcement that her partner systematically bullied her children.
“It has been established that the 27-year-old suspect committed psychological violence against the two-year-old boy and the three-year-old girl and applied physical force to them,” the police clarified.
The children were removed and taken to a hospital, where doctors recorded multiple bruises on the faces and bodies of the victims.
The offender was detained and formally charged with the torture of minors (Part 1, Part 2 of Article 127 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention.
This case draws attention to the problem of violence against children and the need for effective measures to protect them. Social services and law enforcement must focus on preventive measures to avoid similar tragedies in the future.
