Investigation Underway After Deer Struck in Rivne Oblast

According to TSN.ua: Authorities in Ukraine’s Rivne region are investigating a road accident that left a deer named Borys seriously injured. The crash occurred on March 23 when a vehicle traveling at high speed and without its headlights on struck the animal. Borys was found on the road with severe injuries. Though his condition is slowly improving, he still requires complex medical treatment.

The driver fled the scene. Police identified the suspect as a 28-year-old woman from the village of Zarichne. She has been issued three administrative citations. However, according to Ruslan Khrystiuk, no criminal case has been opened:

“The police have initiated an administrative case; there is no criminal element here.” – Ruslan Khrystiuk

Rumors have emerged suggesting that the woman may not have been behind the wheel. Witnesses claim her husband, who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, might have been driving at the time. This version of events requires further investigation, as conflicting accounts continue to surface.
