In Zdolbuniv, the TCC used tear gas on a 15-year-old girl: what happened

According to ТСН: In Zdolbuniv, near Rivne, TCC employees used tear gas against a 15-year-old girl who was trying to save her father from mobilization.

In the published video, the girl explains how she tried to prevent her father's mobilization. She was holding the entrance door so that the soldiers could not enter while her father was hiding in the apartment.

The video shows the moment when a man in uniform opens the entrance door, and another soldier approaches and unexpectedly sprays the girl in the face with a canister.

“One of them sprayed me in the face with a canister. My whole face is burning. I couldn't see anything at that moment. It started to sting... I couldn't see anything. It's awful... Initially, because the spray got into my mouth, I couldn't breathe normally for some time... My hands are still shaking... But they said they would come for us again,” the girl said.

TCC Response

The regional TCC of Rivne reported that a service check has been appointed regarding this incident.

Earlier in Zdolbuniv, TCC employees mobilized the father of three minor children. The TCC explained that the man did not update his accounting information and “did not provide any personal documents regarding the presence of children.”

This incident has caused public outrage and drawn attention to the issue of mobilization in Ukraine. The actions of the TCC are criticized, as a situation where a child becomes a victim of the use of force is unacceptable. The continuation of the investigation and response to such cases can be important factors in improving communication between the military and civilian citizens.
