On December 24, Arctic cold will arrive in Ukraine: where to expect snow and ice.

According to ТСН: On Wednesday, winter weather is expected in Ukraine: temperatures will be low, and in some regions, snowfalls and ice are possible.

According to the forecasts of the Ukrhydrometcenter meteorologists, overcast weather with moderate snowfall and icy conditions is expected in the Carpathians and the Precarpathian region. In other parts of the country, it will be cloudy with clearings, but without precipitation. During the day in the mountains, wind gusts may reach 15-20 m/s, and blizzards are also possible.

Air Temperature

In most regions, daytime temperatures will range from -1 to -6°C. In Transcarpathia and the southern part of the country, the thermometer will rise to 0-5°C.

In Kyiv and the Kyiv region, overcast weather with clearings is also expected. At night, light snow is possible in some places, but no precipitation is forecasted during the day.

Daytime air temperatures in the Kyiv region will fluctuate from -1 to -6°C, while in the capital, temperatures are expected to be -4 to -6°C.

According to meteorologist Natalia Holenya's forecasts,

“snow and frost are coming.”

“Starting from December 24, a transition to winter temperature conditions will occur.”
