In Volyn, the acting head of the TCC was detained: received a bribe for a 'clean biography' of conscripts.
Detention of TCC official in Volyn
According to TSN.ua: In Volyn, the acting head of the regional territorial center for recruitment (TCC) was detained for accepting a bribe in connection with the removal of data about conscripts on the wanted list. The official offered conscripts a 'clean biography' in the registry. To one of the clients, the officer promised to remove him from the wanted list for 3 thousand US dollars.
The detention took place during the receipt of the second part of the money, after the official had received 1.5 thousand dollars during the first transfer. The man has been notified of suspicion under part 3 of article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for a penalty of imprisonment for up to 10 years.
Investigation and further actions
The State Bureau of Investigations reported that the offender planned to receive the unlawful benefit in two stages. Currently, searches are being conducted to verify the involvement of other TCC employees. A petition has also been submitted to the court to suspend the detained official from office.
This situation occurred against the backdrop of the liquidation of a large-scale corruption scheme at a state-owned enterprise, in which three members of an organized group are suspected, causing losses of 102 million hryvnias.
The detention of the TCC official is part of a broader fight against corruption in Ukraine, particularly in the military sector, where abuses can have serious consequences for national security.
