According to ТСН: Starting January 1, 2026, the minimum living wage for one person will be 3209 hryvnias. For persons with lost working capacity, this figure will be slightly lower.

According to the information from the Pension Fund of Ukraine, this parameter serves as the basis for determining the minimum payments to pensioners who continue to work. In 2026, the minimum payment for such pensioners will be 2595 hryvnias.

Pensioners who are unable to work will receive a minimum pension of 3328 hryvnias from 2026.

Who can retire in 2026

On the website of the Pension Fund of Ukraine, it is stated that to receive a pension, one must reach the established age and have the appropriate insurance experience.

In the next year, the requirements for retirement will be as follows:

  • at 60 years — if having at least 33 years of insurance experience

  • at 63 years — if having at least 23 years of experience

  • at 65 years — provided that there are at least 15 years of experience

If the experience is insufficient, the person may be granted temporary state social assistance.

Moreover, the Cabinet of Ministers has made a decision regarding a new indexation of pensions, which will affect most Ukrainian pensioners. The increase is scheduled for March 1, 2026, and the average payment will be increased by 11.5%.

These changes are aimed at improving the financial situation of pensioners in Ukraine. Considering the rising cost of living, the increase in pensions and the minimum living wage will be an important step in supporting the elderly, who depend on government payments.
