The Voynich Manuscript Mystery Unveiled: Scholar Proves It's a Cipher.
According to ТСН: The Voynich Manuscript, created in the early 15th century, remains one of the greatest mysteries in history. Its text is written in incomprehensible symbols and accompanied by enigmatic illustrations. Among these drawings is an image of a dragon, which gives the manuscript a mystical character and has intrigued scholars and cryptographers for centuries.
It still remains a mystery who the author of this manuscript is and what it is truly about. However, the question of whether the text is written in an unknown language or is merely a fabrication has yet to be answered.
Journalist Michael Greško published a study in the scientific journal Cryptologia that provides evidence that the Voynich manuscript is likely encrypted. In his work, he used an algorithm developed during the quarantine known as the 'Naibbe Cipher'.
This method processes Latin or Italian text, combining it into a single stream, and then segmenting it into blocks. The segmentation disrupts the original rhythm and forms one- and two-letter blocks, which are labeled as words, where two-letter blocks have the structure of a prefix and a suffix.
'Simulation results showed that the text generated by the Naibbe Cipher bears a striking similarity to the Voynich manuscript itself, particularly reproducing its unusual statistical patterns that have long baffled researchers,' notes T4.
Greško admits that this is not conclusive proof of the origin of the Voynich manuscript, but it demonstrates that this coding system can produce text with characteristics similar to the enigmatic manuscript.
'This new research provides other researchers with more accurate tools for further analysis and decoding, reigniting the discussion around this mysterious book,' writes the media.
The Voynich manuscript remains a mystery, as it 'supports' any theory about itself, appearing as both cipher and meaningless text. This complicates its decryption and makes it appealing to researchers.
Researchers also note that the image of the dragon is a powerful mythological archetype, actively used in modern cinema, particularly in popular series like 'Game of Thrones'. However, this mythical creature, known for its scaly body, long tail, wings, and ability to breathe fire, has never existed in reality in the form depicted by mass culture.
Scientific research on the Voynich manuscript continues to draw attention, as its mysterious nature opens new opportunities for understanding medieval culture and cryptography. Ultimately, this could make a significant leap in history if this mystery can be unraveled.
