According to ТСН: At the Kyiv branch of PrivatBank, a soldier who lost his limbs was denied the restoration of a card for state payments. This information was disclosed by the head of the Patronage Service 'Angels', Olena Tolkachova.

She noted that the soldier, who went to war at the age of 18 and lost all his limbs in battle in Kharkiv region, received a cynical response from the bank. Since his phone with the cards was lost during the fighting, the medical curator of 'Angels' accompanied him to the PrivatBank branch on Beresteysky Avenue in Kyiv. However, he was offered to pose with a new card for a photo.

'A person has no hands. No hands — no card. It's 'not allowed' for another person to hold the card. The only 'alternative' from the bank is to issue a power of attorney and issue the card in the name of the medical curator. Just think about it. A person who lost their hands and legs in war cannot get their money because they have no hands,' Olena Tolkachova wrote in her post on social media Facebook.

She emphasized that bureaucratic procedures are more important for bank employees than the needs of the serviceman who is protecting them.

'The wounded soldier decided to wait for a prosthetic hand. Months. Maybe a year. Without the money owed to him by the state. We will not let this go. The state, banks, and bureaucracy must turn to face the military. Because otherwise — it is betrayal, not just idiocy,' Tolkachova stressed.

The head of the National Bank, Andriy Pyshny, also reacted to this situation, promising to personally deliver the card to the soldier along with apologies.

'I read this post with pain. I cannot comprehend what they were thinking at the bank. But I know for sure that it should not be this way. And it will not be! There will be conclusions, there will be reactions, and similar cases will not happen again,' he promised.

Recall that earlier, the owner of the ODA brand and blogger Ksyusha Maneken lost over 6 million hryvnias due to a fraudulent Monobank chatbot on Telegram.

This situation highlights the necessity for greater sensitivity from financial institutions to the needs of servicemen. Denials of essential services can seriously impact the lives of those fighting for the honor and security of the country. The National Bank's response indicates a willingness to change policies to improve the service for such individuals.
