UAVs over the military base in France: Russia is preparing a destabilization campaign.
According to inkorr.com: Last weekend, unmanned aerial vehicles flew near the Murmelon-le-Grand military base in France. This incident occurred in the Marne department, and it was confirmed today by the relevant authority, reports 'Glavkom'.
The Marne department clarified that these are small devices, not military drones. The incident was deemed 'exceptional' as there is no evidence of foreign state interference. An investigation is currently underway regarding the detected UAVs.
Similar incidents in other countries
Interestingly, a similar occurrence happened in Denmark, where the Olborg airport suspended flights due to spotted drones. Additionally, Russian MiG-31 fighters violated Estonia's airspace without permission. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that these actions could be part of Russia's campaign to destabilize Western states.
There is a growing number of such incidents worldwide, indicating an escalation of the military-political situation in the region. An investigation has already begun to determine the origin and purpose of the drones' actions and to find common solutions to prevent similar cases in the future.
Thus, the events surrounding unmanned aerial vehicles point to new security challenges, with incidents in Europe becoming increasingly frequent. It is important for states to work together to ensure security in the airspace and respond to new threats.
