Kyiv Police Reveals the Strangest Calls to 102: From UFOs to Bats in Apartments.
According to ТСН: The Kyiv police presented a selection of the most unusual calls received on the emergency line 102 recently. Among the messages are complaints about police officers interfering with drug purchases, requests to drive away bats, and suspicions about UFOs over the city.
Every day, the capital's police handle thousands of calls from residents. Among them are serious requests requiring urgent response and those that provoke surprise or smiles.
Strange Requests from Kyiv Residents
The police shared a compilation of the most unusual messages. One of them concerns a woman who asked to pay attention to a man climbing onto the roof of her building, who, in her opinion, may be trying to climb to a star.
Also, one man complained that he could not connect to Wi-Fi, although his wife was using the internet without any problems. Another resident reported a light spot in the sky, suggesting that it was a UFO.
One of the women filed a complaint that every quarter, when she opens the window for airing, an air raid alert goes off.
A man was outraged that he didn’t manage to buy methadone due to the arrest of a drug dealer by the police. A girl requested to drive away a bat that had entered her apartment.
In one of the messages, a woman asked to assign a police officer to always pick up her five-year-old child from kindergarten.
“Kyiv police remind: every call is a living person with their problem. Even if the situation seems strange or causes a smile — we pay close attention to every message and try to help. We work 24/7 for the safety and peace of the capital and its residents!”
In addition, patrols in Boryspil quickly responded to a call regarding a suicide attempt, but it turned out to be a false alarm. The 41-year-old caller admitted that he felt sad and just wanted to have tea with the police officers.
This compilation shows that sometimes people turn to the police with very unusual requests. It is important to remember that even such curious cases indicate how diverse life situations can be for Kyiv residents, and the police, for their part, are ready to respond to the needs of their citizens. Calls, though witty, often reveal the human nature in all its complexity.
