Enrollment Campaign 2026: Applicants may submit a maximum of 12 applications.
According to ТСН: In the enrollment campaign for the year 2026, there will be changes in the application process at universities. Applicants may submit no more than 12 applications, which is fewer than the previously allowed 15. These changes are outlined in the draft admission regulations for universities for the year 2026.
Details of the changes
Of the submitted applications, up to five may be used for a program funded by the state budget. The other seven applications are for the paid study format throughout the entire enrollment campaign.
Applicants must prioritize their applications during the main application period. This priority will reflect the interest in applying for a specific field of study or a specific university.
The highest priority will be marked with the number 1, and the lowest with 12, when the applicant submits the maximum number of applications. After the application is submitted, the established priority cannot be changed. All applications with the indicated priorities will participate in the targeted allocation, taking into account the chosen funding source – state funding or contract.
It is important to note that 12 applications are the maximum allowed number. If an applicant submits all applications during the main period, they cannot take the opportunity to submit applications for a contract during the additional phase of the enrollment campaign 2026, which ends on October 15.
Previously, one could participate in the enrollment campaign by submitting up to 15 applications.
It should also be mentioned that the 'NMT in 2026 will be conducted according to last year's model: on one day with the possibility of additional sessions. This is a understandable and predictable decision in wartime, where safety and equal opportunities for every participant in the tests, especially abroad, are a priority,' stated the chairman of the parliament's committee on science, education, and innovation, Serhij Babak.
The innovations in the admission rules aim to simplify the process for applicants and focus their attention on choosing priority educational institutions. The reduction in the number of applications may help optimize the processing and clarity of the enrollment campaign in times of dynamic changes in the country.
It is expected that the new rules will increase the responsibility of applicants for their choices and clearly outline the admission conditions for educational institutions, which could positively impact the quality of education in Ukraine.
