Prices for Christmas trees in Ukraine: how much the holiday costs in different cities.
According to ТСН: Christmas markets across Ukraine are actively operating ahead of Christmas, and prices for Christmas trees are already known.
Prices have been compared in frontline and rear cities, studying where Christmas trees are supplied from and what factors have influenced their costs this year.
Kharkiv: prices due to logistics and imports
Markets in Kharkiv offer pines, firs, and decorative compositions. Most trees come from Ukrainian nurseries — from Lviv to Kharkiv, but there are also imported options.
Sellers note that the increase in prices is caused by rising fuel and delivery costs, and imported Christmas trees have become more expensive due to fluctuations in the euro exchange rate.
“A set Christmas tree, the one made in Chernivtsi by hand, cost 250 UAH last year, in 2025 — up to 300 UAH. A regular pine up to one meter costs 500–600 UAH, up to two meters — up to 1,000 UAH,” says Christmas tree seller Roman Shkurko.
Although there aren't many buyers yet, most are interested in the assortment, as live Christmas trees are traditionally placed in families, especially with children.
Sellers admit that this year fewer trees have been brought in, fearing unsold leftovers, but they hope for increased demand closer to the holidays.
Zaporizhzhia: what trees are being sold
Zaporizhzhia also presents a wide assortment of Christmas trees: from regular Ukrainian pines and firs to imported ones from Denmark.
The most expensive are Danish Nordmann firs, which cost from 4 thousand UAH.
“These are packed like this. Here on site we unpack them. Such beauties come out, we put them in a stand. Here are tags on them that they are certified, passed certification, ensuring that there are no pests on them,” says Christmas tree seller Maksym Baisha.
Prices for regular pine start from 700 UAH.
Crimean pine with long needles, grown in Kharkiv and Poltava regions, costs around 3,000 UAH (there are options for 2,600 UAH).
For those with a limited budget, they offer a Christmas tree made of branches for 400 UAH.
Prices are almost the same at all Christmas markets in Zaporizhzhia, and sellers try to attract buyers by creating bright photo zones.
Lviv: premium segment
In Lviv, where official sales have begun, there are indeed many options: from compact trees for apartments to tall firs for enterprises and churches.
“A little tree from Denmark has arrived, variety Nordmann. This is a special kind of tree that does not shed, does not dry out, lasts a long time,” says Christmas tree seller Robert.
All trees are grown on special plantations, and their height ranges from one and a half meters to four and a half.
Prices start from two thousand UAH.
A large lush Christmas tree 2.5 m tall costs approximately 4 thousand UAH.
The interest of buyers in Lviv is high, predominantly families with children. Some even order delivery.
The city has over twenty official Christmas tree sales points, so you can choose a festive tree for any taste and budget.
