According to TSN.ua: On March 28, 2023, a massive assault by Russian forces struck Odesa, leaving residents devastated. Among the victims, a young boy lost his mother. The attack caused severe damage, including at a maternity hospital where 19 infants, along with new mothers and medical staff, were present at the time.
More than a thousand windows were shattered across the city, and numerous buildings sustained damage. The number of injured rose to 16, with two fatalities. The orphaned boy, who suffered a leg injury, is hospitalized in stable condition. However, as Svitlana Osaulenko noted,
“The child could go home now, but he has no home to go to.”
