According to the Kyiv region police, they received a report from a woman who stated that her common-law husband went missing around 5:00 PM in the village of Mykhailivka-Rubezhivka. Law enforcement officers preliminarily determined that the 33-year-old man had arrived for a meeting and afterwards lost contact.

The police began search operations, and the next morning, during a territorial inspection near the cemetery, they discovered the man's body with gunshot wounds.
