In Ternopil, New Year's Fight: A 16-Year-Old Girl Hospitalized with Bite Wounds.
According to ТСН: In Ternopil, the New Year's celebration among the youth ended in a fight, as a result of which a 16-year-old girl was hospitalized with multiple injuries. Law enforcement officials report that the injuries were inflicted on the minor by her 21-year-old acquaintance.
The conflict arose during a joint recreation. Initially, an argument broke out between the girls, which quickly escalated into a physical confrontation. As a result of the fight, the 16-year-old victim sustained bruises and bite wounds on her body.
The incident was reported by emergency medical personnel, who hospitalized the girl to the regional children's hospital. During hospitalization, doctors determined that she was in a state of intoxication.
Investigation of the Incident
Investigators from the Main Directorate of the National Police in Ternopil region opened a criminal proceeding regarding the incident under part 1 of Article 125 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional minor bodily injury). Currently, police are clarifying all the details and causes of the conflict.
Other Incidents
In Vinnytsia on January 1, a 45-year-old drunken man launched fireworks despite the ban. Law enforcement plans to bring charges against him for hooliganism.
It was also previously reported about two youths who sustained fatal injuries while attempting to ignite homemade fireworks.
