Fines for Employers: What Will They Be Punished for When Hiring Ukrainians.
According to ТСН: In Ukraine, employers are required to check the availability of military accounting documents from candidates when hiring. If this requirement is not met, enterprises may face fines.
What the Future Employee Must Provide
When hiring or training conscripts and military personnel, the employer must confirm the presence of relevant documents:
For military personnel: military ID or special temporary certificate.
For conscripts: certificate of registration with the conscription office.
Employment
The main condition for the official employment of these individuals is the confirmation of their military registration.
The majority of citizens must be registered at the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support (TCRC and SS), which replaced the former military commissariats.
Those who are registered with the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) or the Foreign Intelligence Service (FIS) must provide confirmation of their registration with these state institutions.
Only after confirming the registration can the employer officially hire the employee.
Special Features for Women with Medical and Pharmaceutical Education
Women with medical or pharmaceutical education automatically become military personnel. Therefore, when employed, they must provide military accounting documents, even if the position is not directly related to their education, for example, if they work in an office rather than a hospital.
Legal Framework and Responsibility
These requirements are enshrined in the regulatory legal acts of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, particularly in Resolution No. 921. Violating the registration procedure leads to administrative liability for the officials of enterprises.
Interestingly, a lawyer previously discussed the details regarding the liability of employers for violations of military registration.
Thus, adherence to military registration becomes an important element for employers in Ukraine. It is not only a legal obligation but also a prevention of possible financial sanctions. It is crucial for all employees, especially those subject to military registration, to be aware of the new requirements and timely submit the necessary documents to avoid misunderstandings.
