Russia attacked Ukraine's gas infrastructure: consequences of shelling in the frost

According to ТСН: This day, Russian troops again struck the gas and energy infrastructure of Ukraine.

According to the press service of Naftogaz, the occupiers attacked the extraction facilities and CHP plants of the Naftogaz Group, using Shahed kamikaze drones.

"It is clear that these attacks are synchronized with the cooling — the enemy is trying to exploit the frost and peak loads to incapacitate the system. Emergency crews, technical services, and all relevant departments are working in an enhanced mode to eliminate the consequences of the attack and restore the facilities," — said the head of the board of Naftogaz of Ukraine, Serhiy Koretsky.

It should also be noted that the Russian army launched a combined strike on critical infrastructure facilities. The occupiers used ten Kinzhal missiles, half a thousand drones, and dozens of rockets.

As a result of the attack in the capital, one person died. Another 28 people were injured.

These events underscore the constant threat to Ukraine's energy security, especially in the conditions of winter frosts. The authorities and specialists continue to work on restoring damaged facilities to ensure uninterrupted energy supply to citizens in difficult conditions. Attacks on infrastructure show that the war continues, and the need to protect critical facilities remains relevant.
