On December 25, electricity will be turned off across Ukraine: details of the schedules and reasons.
According to ТСН: The situation in the energy system remains tense after large-scale attacks on Ukraine. On Thursday, energy workers will again implement stabilization measures, which involve power outages across the country.
This was reported by the press service of NEC "Ukrenergo".
What restrictions will there be
According to the dispatcher center's order, in all regions of Ukraine tomorrow the following will apply:
Hourly outage schedules (GSV) — for the population.
Power limitation schedules (PLV) — for industrial consumers and businesses.
Reason for outages
The main reason for the deficit is the damage caused by Russian missiles and drones. Energy facilities are still recovering from the attacks, and the system cannot provide full electricity consumption.
"The reason for implementing restriction measures is the consequences of Russian missile-drone attacks on energy facilities," the company emphasized.
Where to see your schedule
In "Ukrenergo", they warn that the situation may change. The exact time of outages at your address and the number of queues can be found on the official websites and pages of regional energy distributors in your area, on the web resources of most regional and local administrations, as well as in the media.
Energy workers urge Ukrainians to consume electricity sparingly when it is available according to the schedule, to avoid excessive load on the system and additional emergency situations.
We remind that due to damage to thermal power plants and the load on the energy system, significant outages are possible. Experts believe that this winter will be one of the most challenging, and there may be no electricity for 20 hours a day.
In the context of constant attacks on energy infrastructure, it is important to understand that electricity outages are a forced measure in combating the consequences of military actions. Ukrainians are urged to save energy, as the stability of the energy system and the reliability of electricity supply in critical conditions depend on this.
The upcoming cold season promises to be difficult, and it is important for everyone to be prepared for a possible prolonged absence of electricity, keeping an eye on updates from the relevant authorities.
