According to TSN.ua: On January 27, 2023, the Russian Federation's military carried out a drone strike on the Lviv region of western Ukraine, specifically near the city of Brody. According to regional governor Maksym Kozytskyi, the attack caused significant smoke but resulted in no casualties or injuries. An air raid alert was in effect from 07:18 to 07:48 in the Zolochiv district, alarming local residents. This attack on a region far from the front lines underscores the widespread nature of the threat to Ukrainian civilians.

Emergency Response and Official Measures

Rescue workers, law enforcement, and emergency service specialists were dispatched to the scene to assess the situation and mitigate the attack's consequences. A temporary spike in carbon monoxide levels was recorded in the village of Smilne. In response, the Brody City Council announced the cancellation of classes in schools under its jurisdiction. Authorities urged citizens to keep their windows and doors tightly shut and to limit movement outdoors.

'Smoke is currently settling over the city and an unpleasant odor is noticeable. We ask you to tightly close all windows and doors and, if possible, limit movement on the streets. School classes are canceled today, and kindergartens that have already accepted children will operate with windows and doors tightly sealed. Please remain calm and look after your loved ones.'
