The strike, which occurred overnight on February 3rd, left hundreds of thousands of households without heating as temperatures plunged to -25°C (-13°F) and affected eight Ukrainian regions. The situation in Kyiv and its surrounding region is particularly dire. The Darnytskyi and Dniprovskyi districts of the capital were left without heating, with a total of 1,170 apartment buildings across the city affected.
