DTEK Mining Facilities Hit by Terrorist Attack

According to TSN.ua: On February 1, a Russian military strike in Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region targeted a bus transporting DTEK company miners from their shift, killing 12 workers and injuring 16 others. Company representatives stated the attack was deliberate and not accidental. This assault is part of a broader pattern of attacks on civilian infrastructure since Russia's full-scale invasion began in 2022.

DTEK representative Tymchenko remarked: 'This is a tragedy not only for our company but for the entire nation.'

He further emphasized that the attack reveals Russia's true nature, stating: 'This is the face of Russia.' The incident has provoked significant public outcry and concern among experts, who highlight the increasing dangers faced by civilians in the ongoing war.

Escalating Peril for Ukrainian Civilians

This event underscores the extreme peril for civilians in Ukraine, who are increasingly becoming targets in the conflict. It has generated widespread outrage and sympathy among Ukrainians, reflecting a heightened public awareness of the war's brutal consequences. Such attacks are likely to prompt renewed calls for action from the Ukrainian government and the international community to better protect civilian lives.
