Russia denies attack on Poland: what is known about the drone incident.
Denial of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation
According to inkorr.com: The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has denied accusations of intentions to attack facilities on the territory of Poland on the night of September 10. This was reported by the Russian military department.
No targets for strikes on Polish territory were planned. The maximum range of Russian drones that allegedly crossed the border into Poland does not exceed 700 km. However, we are ready to hold consultations with the Polish Ministry of Defense on this matter.
Attacks on Ukraine
The Russian side also reported massive strikes with high-precision weapons carried out from the air, sea, and land against military targets in Ukraine. Attacks occurred in the Ivano-Frankivsk, Khmelnytskyi, and Zhytomyr regions, as well as in the cities of Vinnytsia and Lviv.
These targets were achieved, all facilities were affected.
Polish reaction
During the attacks, Russian drones also penetrated Polish territory, and Polish armed forces were forced to destroy them. According to the information from the Prime Minister of Poland, 19 drones crossed their border, but four of them were shot down.
To detect and destroy enemy drones, Polish military implemented a special operation using aviation and air defense, and also closed the airspace over certain airports for security reasons. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky expressed readiness to support Poland in creating a defense system against Russian drones.
Kremlin's position
The Kremlin spokesman declined to comment on the situation with drones on Polish territory, stating that the issue should be addressed to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. He also accused NATO and the EU of continuous, in his opinion, baseless accusations of Russian provocations.
Tension in the region
On the night of September 10, Russian drones targeted sites in Ukraine and entered Polish territory, prompting a corresponding response from the Polish military. Although Russia denied plans to attack Poland, tensions in Eastern Europe are rising, leaving many questions regarding the future of the region.
Given the increasing tension in the region, it is important to monitor events related to security issues, as conflicts may have widespread consequences. While Poland is ramping up its defense measures, support from neighboring countries, including Ukraine, may become a key factor in preventing further escalations. The situation remains unstable, underscoring the need for diplomatic efforts to peacefully resolve conflicts.Read also
