According to ТСН: Russia launched a drone attack on two foreign ships in the Black Sea. One of the crew members of a Panama-flagged tanker was injured.

Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction Oleksiy Kuleba reported that an enemy UAV hit the tanker, which was waiting to enter the port to load vegetable oil. A fire broke out on board the vessel.

“Unfortunately, one crew member was injured. He is currently receiving the necessary assistance. Maritime rescue services are already on the scene, and the fire on board is being extinguished,” noted the deputy prime minister.

The head of the Odesa regional military administration, Oleg Kiper, also confirmed this information, adding that another target was a bulk carrier under the flag of San Marino, which was leaving the port with a load of corn. A fire also broke out on this vessel, but rescuers managed to quickly localize it. There are no casualties on the bulk carrier; the ship continues to move.

Kiper emphasized that these attacks are further evidence of Moscow's gross violation of international humanitarian law.

“The enemy has attacked civilian vessels for the second time in the last week. Russia is deliberately hitting shipping, posing a threat to global food security,” stressed the head of the OVA.

Previously, information emerged about a new attack by Russian forces on civilian shipping within the Ukrainian maritime corridor, which resulted in casualties on two foreign-flagged vessels, including fatalities and injuries.

These events indicate a rising threat to civilian shipping in the region, which may impact international trade and food supply. In light of these attacks, it is vital for the international community to pay attention to the situation in the Black Sea and take measures to protect civilian vessels.
