Russian drones attacked Poland: how Ukraine will help its neighbor protect the sky.
According to inkorr.com: On the night of September 10, Russian drones attacked Poland in the context of large-scale aggression against Ukraine. The commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' drone systems, Robert Brovdi, known by the alias Madyar, addressed the Polish population. This was reported by the portal
Main Adviserreferring to a military publication.
Threat to Poland's Security
Madyar emphasized that the danger is approaching faster than it may seem. He noted that impunity against the backdrop of 'excitement' and indecision 'only fuels the appetite for war.' 'This is a matter of time, not probabilities. From now on, it is clear that this is already a matter of our common security space. Let this remain a subjective opinion,' he added.
The commander also reported that according to the recommendations of the President of Ukraine, specialists, pilots, and UAV operators are ready to share their experience and knowledge with Poland regarding countering 'Shaheds.'
As a reminder, during the mass attack on Ukraine, several strike drones intruded into Polish territory, prompting Polish military forces to shoot them down. According to the Prime Minister of Poland, 19 drones landed on the territory of the country, of which four were neutralized.
The Russian Ministry of Defense assured that they allegedly did not plan to attack facilities on Polish territory on the night of September 10. However, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine is ready to assist Poland in creating an adequate warning and defense system against Russian drones.
Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski also held a meeting with his Ukrainian colleague Andrii Sybiha, during which they discussed the possibility of involving NATO countries' aviation and air defense systems to intercept Russian drones invading Ukrainian territory.
Thus, on the night of September 10, Russian drones attacked Poland amid aggressive actions in eastern Ukraine. The consequences of these events went beyond the conflict between Ukraine and Russia, affecting the territory of neighboring Poland, which caused outrage and facilitated additional negotiations between the Ukrainian and Polish governments regarding joint actions to counter similar threats in the future.
