Parents to be tried for torturing child since 6 months: shocking details of the case.
According to ТСН: Juvenile prosecutors from the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office have submitted an indictment to the court against a couple who have committed serious crimes against their child for years.
According to the investigation materials, from 2016 to 2023, the accused regularly sexually abused their underage daughter and committed violent sexual acts against her. They exploited the girl’s helplessness by filming pornographic material involving her.
During searches of their residence, law enforcement discovered digital evidence. The analysis of the files shocked investigators: it turned out that the child had been a victim of violence since the age of 6 months.
Currently, the daughter has been removed from the family, she is receiving social support and is under the supervision of specialists. The couple is currently in custody.
They are charged with violations of several articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
Art. 152, 153, 156 — rape, violent sexual acts, and corruption of minors;
Art. 301, 301-1 — creation, dissemination, and storage of child pornography.
The public prosecution at the trial will be supported by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office. The pre-trial investigation was conducted by the investigative department of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
As a reminder, in Rivne region, a 22-year-old man raped his 3-year-old sister. For this crime, he will spend the next 5 years behind bars.
Meanwhile, near Kyiv, a 48-year-old man was detained for using social media to produce and distribute child pornography.
This case is part of a broader issue of violence against children in Ukraine. Increased attention to such cases reflects society's and law enforcement's growing concern, as the safety of children must remain a priority in every society. The response from the state and society to these heinous crimes can significantly impact the situation regarding children's rights in the country.
