Zelenskyy Warns Ukrainians of Imminent Large-Scale Russian Strike After Intel Alert.
Fresh Intelligence Points to New Russian Missile Barrage
According to TSN.ua: Ukraine's intelligence services have flagged a likely new massive aerial assault by Russian forces. In a video address on March 23, 2023, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy alerted the nation to these threats, urging everyone to heed air raid sirens. He stated there are reasons to believe Russian troops could launch a large-scale attack in the coming days.
According to the president, Moscow intends to use Belarusian territory and occupied areas of Ukraine to build drone control stations. Equipment to support 'Shahed' drone strikes against Ukraine has already been installed in Belarus.
“We have seen this before—special hardware was placed in Belarus to back 'Shahed' attacks on Kyiv and our northern regions along the Belarusian border,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
Potential Impact of Fresh Strikes
A new massive Russian missile assault on Ukraine could occur within the next 24 to 48 hours. Kyiv's central railway station may be among the targets of this potential aerial attack. The president called on citizens to protect themselves and the country, stressing the need to follow safety protocols during this difficult period.
“Please pay attention to air raid warnings today. Intelligence indicates the Russians may be preparing a massive strike,” he added.
This situation underscores the ongoing threat from Russia, which continues to employ diverse strategies for aggressive actions against Ukraine. Given recent attacks, it is critical for Ukrainians to remain alert to potential new dangers and adhere to safety measures, as airstrikes may target not only military sites but also civilian infrastructure. The president's calls for caution and vigilance are thus extremely relevant under current conditions.
