The resignation of the head of the Antimonopoly Committee has been registered in the Parliament: what is known about the scandal.
According to inkorr.com: A draft resolution has been registered in the Verkhovna Rada, proposing the resignation of the head of the Antimonopoly Committee. The initiator of this document is Maksym Pavliuk, a People's Deputy from the Servant of the People party and the deputy head of the law enforcement committee.
Pavlo Kyrylenko is involved in several criminal cases, accused of illegal enrichment and false declaration. The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office previously filed a request for his suspension, but the High Anti-Corruption Court rejected it.
An important precedent has occurred in the history of the Anglican Church
Sarah Mullaly, who held the position of Bishop of London, has become the Archbishop of Canterbury. This is the first appointment of a woman to such a responsible position in the Anglican Church. The solemn confirmation of her appointment will take place in January at a special ceremony.
Before her religious career, Sarah Mullaly worked as a nurse. She was the Chief Nurse of the United Kingdom and in 2005 received the title of Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire for her contribution to the development of medicine. Since 2015, Sarah has served as the Bishop of Crediton, and in 2018 she became the 133rd Bishop of London.
The parliament has once again raised the issue of the resignation of Pavlo Kyrylenko, the head of the Antimonopoly Committee. Earlier, the General Prosecutor's Office had filed a request for his suspension, but the court rejected it.
Sarah Mullaly, the Bishop of London, has recently been appointed as the Archbishop of Canterbury, marking an important step for women in the religious sphere. Her achievements in the medical field have also received recognition, including high awards.
Thus, events in the parliament and the Anglican Church open up new perspectives in traditionally conservative fields. The resignation of the head of the Antimonopoly Committee could symbolize the fight against corruption, while the appointment of Sarah Mullaly highlights changes in societal perceptions of women's roles in religion.
