The accident took place at 13:05 on the DN6 - E70 highway, near the village of Lugoj close to Timișoara. The 29-year-old driver of the minibus was unable to avoid the collision, which also involved two passenger cars. Among the deceased were three individuals aged between 25 and 27, from the regions of Alexandria-Imathia and Pieria.
