Ukrzaliznytsia will cancel some trains for the holidays: which routes will not be in service.

According to ТСН: During the New Year holidays, Ukrzaliznytsia will temporarily suspend the operation of a number of suburban and regional trains. This is due to a decrease in the number of passengers on certain routes.

The company urged travelers to check the train schedule in advance, as the rhythm of life changes during the holidays, and the number of trips in suburban transportation traditionally decreases.

“New Year holidays are a time of coziness and a slightly different rhythm of life. During these days, there are fewer passengers on certain suburban routes,” the Ukrzaliznytsia explained.

For this reason, some suburban and regional trains will not operate on the holiday days.

It is also worth noting that given the current military situation, Russian troops have launched a targeted campaign to destroy the logistics line “Kyiv–Kovel”. Trains, depots, and bridges have come under fire, and drone management is likely being carried out from the territory of Belarus.
