Police officer who hit a child in Pryluky released on bail.
According to ТСН: The police officer suspected of the fatal hit-and-run of a 6-year-old girl in Pryluky was released on bail after paying an amount of 242,240 hryvnias.
This information was confirmed by the territorial department of the State Judicial Administration in the Chernihiv region upon request.
What is known about the accident?
It is worth recalling that on December 10, in Pryluky, Chernihiv region, a police car hit two people. As a result of the accident, a girl died, and a woman was injured. Local residents claim that the car was moving without sirens, did not give any sound signals, and tried to overtake a truck. According to preliminary information from the police, the unit was responding to a call at the time of the accident with lights on. The leadership of the National Police has initiated a departmental investigation, and the police officers have been suspended from performing their duties.
The Desnyanskiy District Court of Chernihiv on December 11 chose a preventive measure for the police officer who hit the 6-year-old girl. She was sentenced to detention for 60 days with the possibility of posting bail of 242,000 hryvnias.
The fatal accident in Pryluky, committed by a patrol police crew, was recorded by the car's dashcam.
