Tragedy in Sumy Region: 20-Year-Old Woman Killed, Sister and Parents Wounded in Attack.
Strike on the Village of Ochkyne
According to TSN.ua: On March 28, 2023, Russian forces targeted residential areas in the village of Ochkyne, part of the Znob-Novhorodske community in Ukraine’s Sumy region. The attack claimed the life of 20-year-old Dasha Serhiienko. Her six-year-old sister, Yevheniia, sustained severe injuries and was hospitalized. Both parents of the girls were also wounded.
The Serhiienko family’s private home suffered critical damage from the assault. Ochkyne lies in a border zone, leaving it highly exposed to military operations. This incident is not an isolated one in the area:
- On March 18 of this year, a drone strike hit the city of Sumy, severely wounding 16-year-old Maksym.
