U.S. State Department Issues Urgent Advisory

According to TSN.ua: The U.S. State Department has issued a stark warning, urging American citizens to leave the Middle East due to severe and imminent security threats. The advisory, announced by Assistant Secretary of State for Consular Affairs Mora Namdar, specifically identifies a list of countries from which departure is strongly recommended.

List of Countries for Departure

The State Department's advisory recommends that U.S. citizens depart the following countries:

  • Bahrain
  • Egypt
  • Iran
  • Iraq
  • Israel
  • West Bank
  • Gaza Strip
  • Jordan
  • Kuwait
  • Lebanon
  • Oman
  • Qatar
  • Saudi Arabia
  • Syria
  • United Arab Emirates
  • Yemen

Americans requiring assistance to organize their departure can contact the State Department on a 24/7 basis. Citizens are also urged to enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) to receive real-time security alerts.

This advisory follows recent escalations in the region. President Donald Trump has stated that joint military actions with Israel could continue for another four weeks. He has also publicly discussed targeting Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei and other officials. The Pentagon has characterized recent operations against Iran as among its most lethal and complex.

“We did not start this war, but under President Trump, we are finishing it.”

He further emphasized: “If you kill Americans, if you threaten Americans anywhere in the world, we will hunt you down.”

The State Department's statement underscores the gravity of the situation in the Middle East and the heightened risks facing U.S. citizens there. Such a broad travel advisory is relatively rare and signals a significant deterioration in the regional security environment. The advisory reflects the U.S. government's intent to safeguard its citizens abroad amid ongoing military actions and heightened tensions, which are expected to persist in the coming weeks.
