Thirteenth pension in Ukraine: who is entitled to unpaid funds.

To apply for this pension, a certain package of documents must be submitted to the Pension Fund in person or through the web portal.

The Pension Fund of Ukraine has reported that these funds do not disappear, and they can be received by the relatives of the deceased.

Who can receive the thirteenth pension in Ukraine:

• relatives who lived together with the pensioner at the time of his death

• non-working family members who were dependent on him, even if they did not live with him

• if several persons with legal right apply for the unpaid pension, the amount is divided equally among them

What is the amount of the thirteenth pension in Ukraine

There is no fixed amount for this payment. The size of the thirteenth pensions depends on the pension that the deceased received and for which period the funds remained unpaid. In each case, the amount is determined individually by the Pension Fund.

It should be noted that the Cabinet of Ministers has made a decision on the next indexation of pensions, which will affect most Ukrainian pensioners. The increase is scheduled for March 1, 2026, and the amount of payments will increase on average by 11.5%.
