The Pension Fund explained what is included in insurance experience: service, education, unemployment.

According to ТСН: Until 2004, labor experience in Ukraine was determined, and after that, insurance experience began to be taken into account. This was an important step for the pension provision system.

Labor experience accumulated before January 1, 2004, is automatically equated to insurance experience. The Pension Fund of Ukraine reminds us of this.

What is included in labor experience

Military service

The period of military service before January 1, 2004, is counted based on military ID cards, certificates from military enlistment offices, military units, and the Ministry of Defense, as well as archival and military-medical documents. After this date, accounting is based on personalized records.

Education at higher educational institutions

Until January 1, 2004, only full-time education is taken into account, confirmed by diplomas, certificates, and other documents issued based on archival data. After 2004, accounting is possible only under the conditions of voluntary participation in the system of mandatory state social insurance.

Period of receiving unemployment benefits

Until January 1, 2004, this period is counted based on entries in the employment record book made by the state employment center, or based on a certificate from the employment service about the period of receiving benefits.

Work of prisoners

The period of work of prisoners before January 1, 2004, is counted only if insurance contributions were paid. After this date — based on personalized records and taking into account the amount of paid contributions.

Work under a civil law contract

Before January 1, 2004, accounting is based on certificates from internal affairs bodies and information regarding the payment of insurance contributions to the Pension Fund. After January 1, 2004, according to personalized records that take into account the paid amounts.

Entrepreneurship

This period before January 1, 2004, is counted based on a certificate from the Pension Fund of Ukraine about the payment of insurance contributions.
