The incident, which occurred on January 26, 2023, was witnessed by Khrystyna Shcherbaniuk, the daughter of a deceased soldier, Viktor Venher. She saw snowballs being hurled directly at the images of military personnel who died in the line of duty. The Legacy of Viktor Venher

Viktor Venher was born on February 12, 1970, in the village of Masivtsi, Khmelnytskyi district. He was killed in action on December 16, 2022, near the settlement of Spirne in the Bakhmut district of the Donetsk region. For the courage and heroism he displayed during his service, Viktor Venher was posthumously awarded the Order "For Courage," 3rd class.
