Heating Restored to Over 100 Kyiv Buildings, but 378 High-Rises Remain Without.
Kyiv Heating Crisis Update
According to Novyny.live: Repair crews in Kyiv are continuing efforts to restore central heating following a series of emergency outages. As of the latest update, 378 multi-story apartment buildings remain without heat, with the highest concentration located in the Desnianskyi district. Mayor Vitali Klitschko has reported that the overall situation is gradually improving, though significant work remains. These outages occur during a period of heightened vulnerability for residents due to the ongoing conflict.
A major step forward was achieved in the previous 24-hour period, with service restored to over 100 residential buildings in the Troieshchyna area. During overnight work, an additional 50 high-rises were reconnected to the heating network, raising hopes for continued progress in the coming days.
Critical Need for Restoration
Mayor Klitschko stated that the most severe heating supply problems are concentrated in the Troieshchyna district. Maksym Bakhmatov emphasized that municipal utility teams are working around the clock to restore heating as swiftly as possible to ensure comfortable conditions for the capital's residents. City authorities are taking all necessary measures to resolve the remaining supply issues.
Restoring reliable heating in Kyiv is critically important for resident safety and comfort, especially during the cold winter months. Prolonged heating failures can pose serious health risks, making the rapid response of utility services and support from local government essential. Continued efforts must focus on swiftly addressing all remaining problems to prevent similar crises in the future.
