According to ТСН: A farewell ceremony for 41-year-old soldier Ivan Kononenko, known by the call sign 'Conan', took place at the St. Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery in Kyiv. He gained popularity thanks to his roles in the series 'Servant of the People' and 'Krepostna', but was killed in battles in Kharkiv over a year ago. Due to difficulties with identification and evacuation, the Hero's funeral only took place now.

Only nine days after this post, senior lieutenant Ivan Kononenko was killed in battles in Kharkiv, as confirmed by his comrades. There were difficulties in determining his identity, so Ivan remained on the list of missing persons for several months.
Star of 'Servant of the People' and 'Krepostna'
Before the war, Ivan was working as a fitness trainer and actively acted in theater and film.
‘Such a media and creative person. He starred with our president in 'Servant of the People'. And in many other films,’recalls his classmate and friend Natalia.
His creative portfolio includes roles in such popular series and films:
'Servant of the People'
'Krepostna'

'Kyiv by Day and Night'
'Real Mysticism' and others.
Friends note that Ivan was socially active and very kind.
Returning to the Front Despite Injuries
Comrades recall that Ivan was with them from the first day of the war and showed fearlessness. He fought in battles in Chernihiv region, and later in Donbas, particularly in Bakhmut:
‘Vanya was with us from the first day. He was an absolutely fearless person. From the first days - Chernihiv region, then Donbas: Bakhmut.’
Even after a serious injury sustained in 2023, he continued to serve, and after rehabilitation, returned to the front again.
‘He volunteered in the consolidated company, participated in the liberation of Kharkiv,’comrades share.
Ivan Kononenko left behind two sons, a wife, parents, and a sister.
