Restoration of Heating and Water Supply in Kyiv

According to TSN.ua: Heating will be restored to 3,260 buildings in Kyiv that were left without heat due to Russian attacks on January 9 and 20. Radiators in the Ukrainian capital will begin warming overnight, providing relief to households that have endured freezing conditions. This restoration effort is a critical part of maintaining essential services for civilians during the ongoing war.

Separately, Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced that water supply has been fully restored to all consumers in Kyiv. He emphasized the vital importance of securing these fundamental utilities for the city's residents. It is worth noting, however, that approximately 600,000 people have evacuated the city, which may affect overall resource consumption in the near term.

The resumption of heating and water services represents a significant step in sustaining the city's basic functions amid the conflict. While the substantial population displacement may impact demand for utilities and complicate infrastructure recovery, meeting the core needs of remaining residents offers hope for stabilizing the situation in the capital.
