Rocket strike on Kryvyi Rih: heating plants and pumping stations malfunctioned due to voltage fluctuations.
According to ТСН: In Kryvyi Rih, as a result of a rocket attack on an energy facility, there was a sharp voltage drop, which caused serious problems in the operation of the pumping stations of the City Water Utility and the heating plants of heat supply enterprises.
The Head of the Defense Council of Kryvyi Rih, Oleksandr Vilkul, reported the situation on Telegram. He noted that after the rocket strike, the large pumping stations of the City Water Utility were switched off and restarted, and also the heating plants, which led to large-scale hydraulic impacts.
“In some heating plants, equipment malfunctioned. Regarding the City Water Utility, this resulted in a drop in pressure. Residents of the upper floors could feel it. The City Water Utility has already returned to normal parameters,” Vilkul mentioned.
He also added that the Ingulets district was the most affected, where the heating plant equipment was damaged. Repair crews have been working since 02:00 AM.
“Ten minutes ago, we launched the last two large heating plants under a temporary scheme. For people in PivdHGC and Ingulec, this effectively means partial commissioning work in homes — as during the full launch at the beginning of the season,” he stated.
Vilkul called on managing companies and homeowners' associations, if necessary, to urgently restart the equipment to ensure stable heating and water supply services.
Recall that earlier it was reported that on the night of December 6, Russian troops carried out a powerful missile-drone strike on Ukraine, targeting several regions.
This situation clearly demonstrates the consequences of military actions on the critical infrastructure of cities. It is important for the authorities to respond quickly to such incidents and provide the population with the necessary services under difficult conditions.
