Locals bring candles and flowers to the site of the incident to honor his contribution to the country’s development. Relatives and concerned citizens gathered together to pay their last respects.
“He was my nephew. Andriy was the elder one. He read all the books under the blanket with a flashlight as a child. Recently he never said he was being followed,” said Andriy Parubiy’s aunt, Lyudmyla Hryshyna.

On August 30, a tragedy occurred in Lviv: an unknown person, pretending to be a courier, shot the politician. Photos of the possible murderer quickly spread across social media, and a video from the scene was also published.
