Strike Hits Kharkiv
According to TSN.ua: On March 27, the Russian military launched a drone attack on Kharkiv, causing civilian casualties and damaging a residential building. One drone struck a nine-story apartment block, partially destroying internal structures and a balcony on the top floor. Emergency services reported that no fire broke out.
By morning, the number of injured had risen to eight people. City officials had previously reported six casualties overnight. The most recent air raid alert in Kharkiv lasted from 5:13 AM to 5:37 AM. On March 25, Russian drones also targeted residential areas of the city, underscoring a continued pattern of attacks on civilian infrastructure.
Residents on Edge
Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov noted that 'the occupiers attacked the Kyivskyi district of the city. Russia first struck with a missile, then with a drone.'
These incidents have heightened anxiety among residents, as public safety remains under constant threat from ongoing aerial assaults.
The bombardments reflect an escalation of violence in eastern Ukraine, where civilian neighborhoods are increasingly being targeted. The rising number of injured and the destruction of homes highlight the severity of the situation and the challenges facing Ukrainian cities amid the war. Local authorities continue to monitor safety, but persistent air raid sirens keep the population on edge.
