Ukrenergo on overcoming the consequences of the attack: where electricity supply has already been restored.
According to inkorr.com: Energy workers have managed to partially restore damaged equipment, which helps restore electricity for consumers on the left bank of Kyiv. This was reported by the publication 'Glavkom' citing 'Ukrenergo'.
Emergency outages due to attacks and restrictions
As of today, in Kyiv, as well as in Kyiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad regions, and in Zaporizhzhia, compulsory emergency outages have been introduced for industrial consumers. In Chernihiv region, three lines of de-energization are operating simultaneously. The reasons for such restrictions were the consequences of Russian attacks on energy facilities.
“The liquidation of the consequences of the night drone and missile attack on energy facilities is ongoing in all affected regions. If you currently have electricity – please use it sparingly!”
Massive attack from Russia
On the night of October 10, the Russian Federation once again attacked the energy infrastructure of Ukraine. This strike occurred on the anniversary of the first shelling of the energy system, which the occupiers began in 2022.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reported that Russia attacked the Ukrainian energy system with more than 450 drones and over thirty missiles.
Preparing for possible consequences
Mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko urged residents to be prepared to take action: prepare supplies of water, a first-aid kit, food, charge autonomous power devices, and prepare warm clothes. It is also important to heed alarm signals.
Ukrainian energy workers continue to restore equipment after the attack from Russia. The liquidation of the consequences is ongoing in various regions of the country, and authorities urge people to be as cautious as possible and prepare for possible unforeseen situations.
