Ukraine Reunites Brother and Sister Who Lived Their Lives in Occupation.
Two children who lived in an occupied city have returned to the controlled territory of Ukraine. They were raised by their grandmother, as their father was killed and their mother was deprived of parental rights. The family attempted to flee to relatives in Russia but continued to search for a way to return home. Now, thanks to the assistance of the Ukrainian Network for Children's Rights, the children are finally home, - reported Andriy Yermak, head of the President's Office.
In total, another 5 children from the occupied regions have been returned to the controlled territory of Ukraine, including a young man and boys, as well as two girls. In addition, another 15 children who are under the control of Russian invaders have been returned, - Yermak noted.
Australia has also joined the International Coalition of countries fighting for the return of Ukrainian children deported by the Russians, - reported Dmytro Lubinets, the ombudsman.
