According to ТСН: In Ukraine, starting from January 1, 2026, some pensioners may receive an additional 1.5 thousand hryvnias.
Pension expert Viktor Bohdanov noted that the greatest increase will be felt by individuals with disabilities related to the war.
Amount of minimum payments for persons with disabilities
Payments for persons with disabilities as a result of the war will increase depending on the group:
Individuals with third group disabilities will receive 9.34 thousand hryvnias instead of 8.49 thousand hryvnias (360% of the minimum living wage).
Individuals with second group disabilities will receive 13.62 thousand hryvnias compared to 12.39 thousand hryvnias (525%).
Individuals with first group disabilities will receive 16.86 thousand hryvnias instead of 15.34 thousand hryvnias (650%).
In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers has decided on the next indexation of pensions, which will apply to most Ukrainian pensioners. The increase is planned for March 1, 2026, and the amount of payments will increase on average by 11.5%.
These changes in the pension system will allow for an increase in the financial level of these categories of citizens, especially in a difficult time when many people need to maintain their welfare. The increase in payments will contribute to the improvement of living conditions for pensioners and persons with disabilities, which is an important step in supporting the most vulnerable groups of the population.
