December 26 declared yellow level of danger in Ukraine: forecasters warn of icy conditions

According to ТСН: Forecasters and rescuers warn of rapid deterioration of weather conditions in Ukraine. On Thursday, a Level I danger (yellow) has been declared across the country, except for Transcarpathia, due to the activation of dangerous meteorological phenomena.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) and Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center report on the forecast of weather conditions.

"Wind gusts of 15-20 m/s, snowstorm, icy conditions on the roads (Level I danger, yellow) are expected," the SES of Ukraine noted.

The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center emphasized that such weather conditions may complicate the work of energy, construction, and utility enterprises and transportation.

Forecast for January

Recall that the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center has shared how the weather will be in January.

Additionally, earlier forecaster Natalka Didenko noted that on Friday, December 26, warming is expected in Ukraine. However, during this time, it is also necessary to be prepared for snowstorms and icy conditions on the roads.

Thus, Ukrainians are advised to be cautious in changing weather conditions. Government services urge adherence to recommendations and to avoid traveling without urgent need in worsening weather conditions, especially in areas where strong winds and precipitation are forecasted.
