Ukrainian Air Defense Experts Train Middle Eastern Forces to Counter Drones.
Advisory Role of Ukrainian Air Defense Specialists
According to TSN.ua: For over a week, Ukrainian air defense specialists have been stationed in Qatar, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia, offering hands-on training and consultation on countering unmanned aerial vehicles. Around 210 to 220 experts are currently deployed in these countries, sharing their experience in neutralizing Iranian-made Shahed drones. This initiative reflects Ukraine's growing role in global security, particularly in the realm of modern aerial threats.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced active preparations to expand cooperation with Kuwait and Jordan, highlighting the strategic importance of these efforts for regional stability.
“I am very interested in signing this agreement with our close partner,” Zelenskyy said, referring to plans for a deal with the United States. He added that “regarding small air defense systems and how to counter massive Shahed drone strikes, this is one of the key aspects of our cooperation.”
Rising Global Demand for Ukrainian Expertise
Ukraine is currently working with five nations to develop countermeasures against Shahed drones, signaling a surge in international interest in its battlefield-tested methods. A strategic initiative known as the drone deal involves finalizing an agreement with the U.S., and Zelenskyy has expressed readiness to sign once the American side confirms its participation.
Through this collaboration, Ukrainian specialists are actively bolstering security across the Middle East, a move that could prove pivotal in the regional fight against drone warfare. This effort not only enhances safety but also strengthens Ukraine's diplomatic ties amid global political tensions. Success in this field may open new opportunities for Ukraine in the international defense technology market.
