Storm warning in Ukraine: where there is ice and heavy snow today.
According to ТСН: On Wednesday, several regions of Ukraine are expected to experience snowfalls and icy conditions. A decision has been made to issue a storm warning due to worsening weather conditions.
According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, 'On January 7, significant snowfall is predicted in Transcarpathia and Prykarpattia. There will be icy conditions on the roads of the western, northern, and Vinnytsia regions. The level of danger is yellow.'
Additionally, fog is expected in Odesa, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Poltava regions, which will reduce visibility to 300-500 meters.
Forecasters emphasize that such weather conditions may complicate the work of energy, construction, and communal enterprises, as well as affect transport movement.
It is also worth noting that the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center had previously warned about heavy snowfalls and Arctic cooling from January 8 to 11, covering the western, northern, and central regions. Heavy snowfalls, wet snow, snowstorms, and gusts of wind up to 18 m/s are expected.
In the face of such unpredictable weather phenomena, it is important to exercise caution on the roads and stay updated with forecasts from meteorologists. Local authorities also recommend being prepared for possible disruptions in the operation of communal services and electricity supply.
