Train Schedule Changes Following Drone Attacks

According to TSN.ua: Ukrzaliznytsia, Ukraine's state railway operator, has implemented temporary schedule changes for trains in the Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Sumy regions. These adjustments are a direct response to Russian drone attacks and resulting power supply issues, which have severely disrupted passenger travel in these areas. The ongoing conflict continues to force rapid adaptations to civilian infrastructure across Ukraine.

Specifically, on the Lozova-Barvinkove-Kramatorsk section, passengers are being transferred to buses. Similarly, travel between Zaporizhzhia and Dnipro will be serviced by bus transfers until 09:00 on February 1. In total, over 2,200 passengers were transported by bus in a single day. For safety reasons, Ukrzaliznytsia is also conducting forced stops near shelters when security threats arise.

Attacks Targeting Railway Infrastructure

On January 30, Ukrzaliznytsia cancelled several trains in the Dnipropetrovsk region following a strike on the railway infrastructure at the Synelnykove station. Furthermore, the enemy attacked seven separate railway facilities with drones, significantly impacting the regional transport system's operations. Passengers should now anticipate further schedule alterations and potential delays as a result.

The transport situation in these regions remains challenging due to military actions that severely complicate the movement of people and goods. Ukrzaliznytsia is adapting its services to these new conditions, striving to ensure passenger safety while maintaining transport accessibility. These continual changes underscore the necessity for swift operational responses to emerging threats in an active war zone.
