The court in Ivano-Frankivsk issued a verdict on a pornography business in Telegram: a woman received a conditional sentence

According to ТСН: The Ivano-Frankivsk city court found a local resident guilty of committing criminal offenses defined by Part 2 of Article 301 and Part 3 of Article 301 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (manufacturing, distribution, and sale of pornographic video products, committed repeatedly).

The court sentenced her to three years of imprisonment, but released her from serving the sentence with the establishment of a probation period of one year.

“Earnings” through Telegram

According to court materials, the accused, who is raising a minor child and is unemployed, decided to “earn extra” due to her difficult financial situation.

She produced pornographic videos and sold them through Telegram. The police discovered this activity and opened a criminal proceeding.

What the woman said

The accused fully admitted her guilt, sincerely repented, and explained that she committed the crime due to difficult circumstances: the death of her common-law husband, the absence of parents, and the need to raise a minor child.

Judgment of the court

The court concluded that the accused could be corrected without isolation from society and applied the provisions of Article 75 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Release from serving the sentence with probation).

This case draws attention to the difficult socio-economic circumstances that drive people to commit crimes. It is important for society to pay more attention to social support issues, especially for those who find themselves in difficult life situations. The court, acknowledging the circumstances of the case, attempted to find a balance between the need for punishment and the possibility of rehabilitating the offender.
