In Odesa, charitable organizations have set up assistance points for those affected by the attack.
Assistance points have appeared in Odesa from public and charitable organizations at the site of the enemy attack. The work of these points is coordinated by the advisor to the mayor Veronika Etnarovich, reports the Odesa City Council.
Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov thanked everyone who came to help. He noted that the damage from the attack is significant: people killed, injured, and many apartments in buildings damaged. He also expressed gratitude to World Central Kitchen and the 'Morning of Revival' charity fund for providing hot meals to the aid participants.
The Ukrainian Red Cross and the 'Tenth of April' charity fund, together with support from the UNHCR, have begun distributing kits for closing windows and doors in damaged houses. The housing maintenance service is assisting with the installation of these kits.
The 'Winds of Change' charity fund is accepting applications for assistance from families with children living in damaged buildings. The amount of assistance is 3440 hryvnias for each child.
The 'Your City' charity fund provides first aid on-site. The results of express tests, such as an electrocardiogram and a troponin test (heart attack), are provided if necessary along with a referral to a doctor.
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) provides kits for women and psycho-social support for families with children. Legal consultations are also provided.
It was previously reported that seven police officers died as a result of the attack. The head of the National Police Ivan Vyhivskyi expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased officers, stating that this is a great loss for the entire police family.
